The 2025 Band Together Day was a cultural celebration of music and its impact on our well-being, held in the heart of Parramatta. The day featured a live performance by the Elite Band, showcasing some of Western Sydney’s best concert band students, art on display from local and international students expressing how music makes them feel, and a virtual exchange with bands from the UK, Africa, Italy, and more.

2 Ways to Get Involved

1. Global Music Gallery (Art & Poetry)
We are inviting students from around the world to share how music makes them feel through either visual art or poetry.
Submissions can be in any language
We encourage creativity and emotional expression
Selected works will be displayed during Band Together Day at Parramatta Town Hall
The Global Music Gallery aims to foster cultural awareness and understanding, celebrate the diversity of musical expression, and support emotional wellbeing through creative arts.

2. Virtual Band Performance
Local school bands and international school bands are invited to submit a short video featuring:
A greeting (e.g. “Hi Australia! We’re the [School Name] Band from [City, Country]…”)
Performances of 2–3 songs

These videos will be projected throughout the day as part of an international virtual exchange, allowing Australian visitors to experience the talent and spirit of student musicians worldwide.
